The Divine Emotion: Maria Callas is Madama Butterfly

As part of the program of celebrations that Sirmione dedicates to the centenary of the birth of Maria Callas, which occurs on 2 December 2023, with Madama Butterfly the first act of the immersive exhibitions scheduled in Sirmione until 2023 to celebrate the Divine Maria Callas is staged, who stayed on the peninsula for a long time.


This first exhibition becomes an introduction and a tribute to the Divine. Inspired by Puccini's Madama Butterfly, it presents images of Japan taken by photographers from Magnum Photos International , the prestigious photo agency.
The particular scenography and the musical background of two opera arias give the spectators an immersive theatrical experience.

the exhibition is hosted at Palazzo Callas Exhibitions until 31 October 2021.
Hours: Tuesday to Sunday 10.30-12.30 16.30-19.00. Friday and Saturday extended opening until 22.00. Monday closed.
Free entry. Reservations recommended on the Eventbrite website.
